Landscape Paintings and Drawings

Sample of my artwork
Rushing Stream, 2008.
5"x7" Watercolor on Claybord

These days my paintings and drawings tend to be quite small and very detailed. They are mostly landscapes, reflecting my love of natural places: the mountains of western North Carolina, the forests and coast of Maine, the English countryside.

My preferred medium is watercolor, either on Claybord or paper. The works on Claybord are fixed with an archival fixative so that they can be framed and viewed without glass, much like oil paintings. Work on paper is mounted, matted, and framed under glass. The work can also be purchased unframed if preferred.
