Welcome!I have 20 years of experience in post-secondary education, working as a programming instructor, Web applications programmer, instructional designer, Director of learning technology services, and writer/author. My work currently focuses on the following: Web/database Programming: I develop Web/database applications, tutorials, and Flash-based tools on behalf of non-profit, arts, education, and research institutions. I am interested in the use of the Web to build collaboration and create greater efficiencies between people and organizations, including common data standards for better integration of online lookups and information-sharing, Web-based approaches to work flow, and online reporting tools that deliver customizable reports and statistics to different audiences. Online Teaching and Learning: I have ten years experience designing and teaching online programming courses, and have published a programming textbook. Online Course Design and Development: I have fifteen years experience designing and developing online courses and learning content, and delivering training and support services for two- and four-year academic institutions. Technical Writing: I write training documents and create online training resources. |
